Janaki Devi, 69 years old is a resident of sherpur ,Patna. She has been suffering from cataract for a long time. And her financial situation did not allow her to get her surgery done. Her family includes two sons, a daughter in law and 04 grandchildren. Before COVID19, her family was doing well to run the family. Also, Janaki Devi is a good cook. She also supports her family by cooking in some households. During the pandemic, her son lost his job and it impacted their livelihood. At the same time, Janaki Devi was losing her eyesight. It was of utmost importance to get her surgery done. Ghaswala Vision Foundation here played a vital role. The Foundation supported the family and took care of everything from the check-up, an appointment with the doctor, and follow-up after the surgery. Now Janaki Devi got her eyesight back and looking forward to getting right eye surgery. Ghaswal Vision Foundation promised her that they will also support her for it. Urmila Devi is 45 year old womman with no source of income. He has 3 sons and only his youngest son provides food for his parents. Urmila could barely see anything and remained at home in depression.
